OREANDA-NEWS. Russian military have conducted one more successful test of the new missile of the air defense system, the press service of the Defense Ministry reported. It took place at the Sary Shagan training ground in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The commander of the 1st Army of Special-Purpose Anti-Aircraft and Anti-Ballistic Missile Defense of the Aerospace Forces, Lieutenant General Andrey Demin, said that the anti-missile after the tests “reliably confirmed the designed characteristics, and the combat crews successfully completed the task, hitting the conditional target with the required accuracy.”

The Defense Ministry of Russia has already reported about test of a new anti-missile rocket on October 28. It also was conducted in Kazakhstan.

On November 16, the American ship-based anti-missile rocket Standard Missile-3 Block IIA was tested against a target imitating an intercontinental ballistic missile.
