OREANDA-NEWS   Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed an order to allocate 11.14 billion rubles to co-Finance the construction of sports facilities in 12 regions of Russia. The document was published on Tuesday on the website of the Cabinet.

"The Federal budget for 2019 and the planning period 2020 and 2021 within the framework of the state program "Development of physical culture and sports" provides 11.14 billion rubles for the provision in 2019-2020 of subsidies to 12 subjects of the Federation for co - financing of capital investments in state-owned objects of the subjects of the Federation, not included in the Federal target programs," - said in the explanatory note.

In particular, the Federal budget will partially pay for the construction of a sports complex with a swimming pool in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, a multifunctional sports arena for 10,000 spectators in Belgorod, a sports complex with a swimming pool in Kaliningrad and a multifunctional sports complex in Krasnodar. Also, this money will be spent on the construction of a multifunctional ice arena and a regional volleyball center in Novosibirsk, the Palace of martial arts in Bryansk and the Palace of team sports in Ivanovo, the Palace of water sports in Saratov and the sports complex "Palace of sports" in Kaluga, the athletics arena in Togliatti (Samara region) and others.

The Russian government has approved plans to allocate more than 2.5 billion rubles in 2019-2020 for the construction of a new ice arena and volleyball center in Novosibirsk.

The approved measures will help in the implementation of the Federal project "Sport - the norm of life" of the national project "Demography", according to the explanatory note.
