OREANDA-NEWS. Dagens Nyheter newspaper reported that on October 22, the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and the Public Health Agency are going to announce their decision regarding compliance with current restrictions in the face of the ongoing aggravation of coronavirus pandemic.

On April 1, the Public Health Agency recommended that citizens over 70 maintain self-isolation, avoiding travel on public transport and physical contact with others.

The new decision of the departments is kept in secret. State epidemiologist of Sweden, Anders Tegnell, refused to answer whether the authorities would soften or tighten the recommendation for the elderly people. The specialist just told that the new recommendations will be “a mixture of new and old commitments.”

Earlier, Sweden became known due to its intention not to introduce tough restrictions because of the wide spread of COVID-19.
