OREANDA-NEWS. The Syrian Armed Forces have taken full control over the city of Saraqib in the governorate of Idlib.

This was reported by on February 5 by RIA Novosti news agency with a reference to a military source. An interlocutor of journalists informed that the Syrian army had been surrounding three Turkish observation posts.

Al Mayadin television channel reports that the Syrian troops entered Saraqib which served as an outpost for the militants of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization. It is noted that the military began to clean up residential areas after the city was left by the armed groups. The Syrian army also took control of one of the villages.
