OREANDA-NEWS. Syrian government troops detained three fighters from the extremist rebel group Jaysh Maghawir al-Thawra (Revolutionary Commando Army), who claimed they were collecting data on Syrian, Russian and Iranian military facilities.

According to one of the militants, the group consisted of eight people, which included seven fighters and a guide. They got the minefield, several people, including the commander and guide, died, and survivors were captured by the Syrian military. Assault rifles, grenades, ammunition, money and narcotic drugs were seized from the detainees.

As another militant told reporters of TASS and RIA Novosti, the members of reconnaissance detachment were trained under the supervision of instructors from the United States, and the teaching was conducted by the Syrians. “Americans are watching, checking, and evaluating the preparations from afar,” he said.
