OREANDA-NEWS. Syrian government agency SANA referring to the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Arab Republic reported that “terrorists and their patrons” had attacked on oil storages. “The terrorists and those who support them again attacked the oil industry in Syria,” SANA wrote.

According to journalists, the attackers used explosive devices in a seaport in Baniyas located 35 kilometers north of the city of Tartus in the north-west of the country. It is known that those devices were laid by divers.

Ministry specialists estimate the damage from the attack. Repair crews are working at the site of the incident and troubleshooting for the resumption of the oil-loading station.
