Bangkok Post newspaper reports that Thailand authorities decided to completely close the entry to the country and exit from it for all foreigners from March 26 due to the coronavirus spread. According to the publication, currently, 934 cases of infection with COVID-19 are recorded in the territory of the country.

Prime Minister of Thailand, General Prayut Chan-o-cha instructed to “prohibit entry into the territory of Thailand and exit from the territory of Thailand through all border points at airports, in sea and river ports and on land borders starting from 00:00 on March 26, 2020 till a special order of the competent authorities.” The exceptions can be made for shippers, diplomats, drivers, pilots and other persons permitted by the head of the government.
