OREANDA-NEWS. The Crimean authorities called non-observance of the mask regime in public transport a disaster. The words of the head of the region, Sergei Aksenov, are quoted by TASS.

“Public transport is really a disaster in terms of compliance with anti-epidemic measures,” he commented on the fight against the pandemic at a meeting of the operational headquarters.

Aksenov also said that he travels around the city every day and, according to his observations, up to ten percent of passengers wear masks in public transport. The head of the region called the data that 50 violations of the mask regime were revealed in 800 raids in transport in Crimea a lie.

“The data that hundreds of events have been carried out and no violations have been identified is a complete lie. If the heads of administrations signed, it means that they are accomplices, I can’t say otherwise, ”he said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 53,178 patients with COVID-19 have been identified on the peninsula, of which 46,157 have recovered, and 1,615 have died.

Earlier, Aksenov instructed to "cancel as much as possible" entertainment events on the peninsula due to the strengthening of anti-epidemiological measures against the backdrop of the spread of coronavirus. At the same time, he emphasized that everyone who sells tickets to relevant events should understand that entertainment events must be canceled, regardless of who and how they conduct them.
