OREANDA-NEWS. The British Embassy in Moscow said that Ambassador Deborah Bronnert discussed at the Russian Foreign Ministry on Friday.

The diplomatic mission wrote in its Telegram channel: "Today, British Ambassador Deborah Bronnert visited the Russian Foreign Ministry. The parties discussed various foreign policy issues of mutual interest."

Earlier, the embassy said that "it was a pre-planned visit, which is an absolutely standard element of diplomatic work."

The British Foreign Office yesterday summoned Ambassador Andrei Kelin in connection with Russia's "hostile line of conduct".

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, commenting on the call of the Russian ambassadors to Poland and Great Britain, called it a chain reaction of NATO countries in support of US sanctions.

Earlier, the UK and US authorities said that the Russian foreign intelligence service was allegedly behind the SolarWinds cyberattacks.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Washington's sanctions course does not meet the interests of the peoples of the two countries and that a response to US sanctions will soon be worked out. The Russian Federation has repeatedly noted that the US accusations of Moscow's involvement in the hacker attack on US federal agencies are unsubstantiated.
