OREANDA-NEWS  Exceeding the epidemic threshold of SARS and influenza was registered in 38 Russian regions, reported on Wednesday on the official website of Federal service for supervision of consumer rights protection and human welfare (Rospotrebnadzor).

"For the total population, the excess of weekly epidemic thresholds of influenza and SARS incidence was registered in 38 subjects of the Russian Federation, the excess of the epidemic threshold in the Central city without exceeding the epidemic threshold of SARS incidence in the subject of the Russian Federation - in 11 cities," the Department noted.

According to the report, in the seventh week significantly reduced the number of regions exceeding the threshold of influenza and SARS in the country. The most active in the epidemiological process involved organized children 3-6 and 7-14 years, as well as adults.

From 11 to 17 February, the excess of epidemic thresholds of morbidity among children from two years was observed in 17 subjects of the Russian Federation, in the age groups from three to six and from seven to fourteen years - in 32 and 27 subjects, respectively. Among persons over 15 years of age, the epidemic threshold has been exceeded in 40 subjects.

In Rospotrebnadzor stressed that "in preparation for the upcoming epidemic rise in the incidence of influenza and SARS were vaccinated against influenza more than 70.8 people – 49% of the population of the Russian Federation, including at the expense of employers vaccinated more than 5.8 million people."

According to Rosstat, the population of Russia on January 1 this year is 146,794 million people.

 Earlier in the statistical materials on infectious diseases in the Russian Federation was reported that more than 61.5 thousand people in Russia fell ill with tuberculosis in 2018, the figure fell by 7.7% compared to 2017.
