OREANDA-NEWS. The number of regions of Russia with a difficult situation with the spread of coronavirus infection decreased to 12.

This was reported by Aghasi Tavadyan, an expert on statistics and modeling at the Center for Economic Sudies. The analyst grouped the territories by color (green, light green, yellow and red) that correspond to different incidence index values. This index shows how many people are infected from one patient with COVID-19. So, in the “red zone” this indicator is equal to 1.1–1.4, and in the “green” it is 0.7–0.9.

“Udmurtia, Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Jewish Autonomous Region, Crimea, Sakhalin Region, Altai Krai, as well as Oryol, Murmansk, Samara, Kemerovo, Kirov and Kurgan regions, are in the “red zone,” Tavadyan said. According to him, over the past month, the Republic of Komi, Sevastopol and the Orenburg Region left the “red zone.”
