OREANDA-NEWS The head of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that if the West does not stop "attacking and overturning Belarus," he will remain the eternal president. He said this at the Osipovichsky training ground, where he arrived to observe the Belarusian-Russian exercises.

"I didn't say anywhere when I would leave, I said under what conditions. If the West collectively, first of all the Americans, take Belarus off the front sight and do not turn it over here in all sorts of ways, as it was in 2020, everything will be legal, neat and will be earlier than you want or they want. If you continue to attack us as in 2020, I will be the eternal president," the OSN quotes Lukashenko as saying.

Alexander Lukashenko has been President of Belarus for almost 28 years - since July 1994. He was re-elected 5 times. The results of the 2020 elections caused mass protests, but he remained in office. As a result, the European Union, Canada, the USA, the UK, Ukraine and a number of other countries refused to recognize Lukashenka as the legitimate president.

Earlier it became known that Alexander Lukashenko arrived at the Osipovichsky training ground to inspect the Russian-Belarusian military exercises "Allied Resolve-2022". According to BelTA, during Lukashenka's visit, a tactical episode will be played at the training ground, in which the missile troops, artillery and aviation of the Union State, as well as units of the Airborne troops of the Russian Armed Forces will be involved.
