The Investigative Committee Opened a Case Against the Mayor of Tuapse

OREANDA-NEWS A criminal case was opened on the head of the Tuapse city settlement on abuse of authority and official forgery.
According to the investigation, in May a businessman asked the head of Tuapse to give him land for 49 years. The head of the city knew that there was no reason to allocate a site without bidding. But he issued a decree on the allocation of a man to rent land in the city. The head’s decree introduced false information about the decision of the Tuapse City Court. This became the basis for the allocation of the site.
After that, on June 13, the mayor signed a 49-year lease agreement with a man at a lower cost. As a result, the budget of Tuapse did not receive more than 23 million rubles.
The investigation establishes the circumstances of the crime and possible other episodes of the illegal activity of the mayor. The mayor was detained, the investigator filed a petition for the election of a preventive measure against him in the form of detention. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
