OREANDA-NEWS. There are no agreements on the date and place of the meeting between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden, the issue is under discussion. This was announced to reporters on Thursday by the press secretary of the head of the Russian state Dmitry Peskov.

"No, so far there are no agreements on this score. This topic is still under discussion and analysis," said Peskov, answering the question whether the Kremlin has an understanding of the timing and place of the meeting between Putin and Biden.

Earlier, the White House said that Biden proposed to Putin a summit meeting this summer in one of the European countries to discuss the accumulated issues in bilateral relations. The Kremlin has reported that a possible date for the meeting is being discussed.

At the same time, Dmitry Peskov clarified that the question of a personal or online meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden, will be decided not by the leaders of the states themselves, but by epidemiologists.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow has a positive attitude to the idea of a meeting between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden.
