OREANDA-NEWS. Most Russians approve state authorities’ actions to combat the spread of coronavirus infection. This is evidenced by the data of the monitoring sociological survey named Social Well-Being of Russians, conducted by the Higher School of Economics.

65 % of respondents said that they approve the authorities’ policy to combat coronavirus, a high assessment is typical for all socio-demographic groups. The maximum support for measures to combat the virus, despite rather serious restrictions, was received in Moscow (70 %).

“In small towns, the level of approval is 63 %, they have high risks of losing jobs and earnings. The risks of losing labour income and employment were also the highest among individual entrepreneurs, self-employed and small business workers, so they supported the actions of the authorities less than others (51 %),” the study says.
