OREANDA-NEWS Russians need to reduce parental control and allow children to learn on their own. This was told by the main freelance specialist of the Ministry of Health in medical psychology Yuri Zinchenko in an interview with RT.

He noted that parents should set up future first-graders to the fact that "learning is not a game, but an opportunity to show their abilities through training and following the rules."

According to him, parents need to praise children not only for good grades, but also for their efforts. In addition, the expert noted that it is also important to help first-graders build relationships with other children. To do this, parents must know with whom the child is sitting at the desk and what his classmates are addicted to.
