«In the course of a decisive and systematic operation of the Mujahideen last night, the center of Badakhshan province was captured. The Mujahideen controls the governor's residence, the police headquarters, the intelligence department and all government institutions», Mujahid said on Twitter.

He also claims that the Taliban took control of the city of Puli-Khumri, the capital of Baghlan province, the night before. According to Mujahid, this is the ninth center of the province out of 34 existing in the country, which came under the control of the Taliban in the last three days. According to the spokesman, the Taliban now controls the provincial capitals of Nimroz, Jowzjan, Sari Pul, Kunduz, Takhar, Samangan, Farah, Baghlan and Badakhshan.
