OREANDA-NEWS  The Ministry of Health of Russia intends to create a system of accounting for cancer patients in the regions, according to the passport of the Federal project "Fight against cancer".

"It is necessary to implement a set of measures aimed at the creation of regional cancer registers (patient registration systems)," the document says.

The document notes that the main goal of the project is to reduce mortality from tumors, including malignant ones.

The national project "Health care" includes the Federal project "Fight against oncological diseases", aimed at prevention and increase of the level of early detection of malignant tumors, strengthening of the material and technical base of medical organizations, introduction of new highly specific methods of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, increase in the proportion of patients with malignant tumors detected at early stages.

Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of health of Russia in the framework of the national project "Health" plans to organize information and communication campaign, aimed at early detection of cancer, costs for these purposes will be approximately 1.2 billion rubles, follows from the passport of the Federal project "Fight against cancer".

"The implementation of the Federal project will allow organizing an information and communication campaign aimed at early detection of cancer and increasing adherence to treatment," the document says.

For these purposes, 1.2 billion rubles are allocated from the Federal budget for the next 6 years, each year 200 million, as specified in the document.

The allocated funds are planned to be spent on the creation and development of the Internet portal, which will be visited by at least 15 thousand users per day, the implementation of special projects in the media-relevant programs, headings and stories on Federal and regional television, as well as the placement of information materials in print media, the document explains.
