OREANDA-NEWS. The Turkish leadership plans to vaccinate citizens against coronavirus of a new type free of charge. Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca announced this on November 23.

“Negotiations with the Chinese vaccine manufacturer Sinovac were completed, all the necessary legal processes were passed, and signatures were put. At least 10 million doses of the vaccine have already been sent to start the vaccination,” the newspaper Hurriyet quotes the politician. “Vaccination will be carried out absolutely free of charge,” he added.

Koca clarified that “the process of licensing vaccines created by other manufacturers” continues in Turkey. “When the licensing process is over, the sale of these vaccines in pharmacies will be allowed,” he explained.

Currently, a total of 446,822 coronavirus infection cases have been identified in the Republic of Turkey.
