Turkish Media Reported of the Arrest of Russian Spies in the Country

According to the publication, investigators believe that the main suspect has maintained contacts with three representatives of a foreign company since at least April 2020 and provided them with information about the volume of gas purchases by Turkey and prices. The damage from her actions could amount to billions of dollars.
According to some media reports, the mentioned foreign company may be Gazprom. It is assumed that the Russian monopolist could be interested in data on a gas field discovered by Turkey in the Black Sea.Journalists, citing sources, inform that the spy scandal could threaten negotiations on the extension of contracts for the supply of Russian gas to Turkey.
