OREANDA-NEWSTurkey announced the transfer of 18 Syrian troops captured by troops supporting Ankara in the north of the Arab country to Russia. A post about this was published on Thursday on the page of the Turkish Ministry of National Defense on Twitter.

"The 18 elements of the Syrian regime, detained during the search, reconnaissance and military events south-east of the city of Ras al-Ain on October 29, were transferred to the Russian side as a result of coordination with the authorities of the Russian Federation", the text says. Earlier, Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar announced negotiations with Russian colleagues regarding the transfer of 18 Syrian troops to the Russian Federation. It was noted that two of them were injured and received medical attention.

On October 29, Al Arabiya, citing Kurdish sources, reported that armed Syrian opposition groups captured the Syrian army in the village of Tell Tamer in the north-east of the Arab Republic. There were clashes between Turkish troops and pro-Turkish forces with Syrian security forces.
