"From 1 January 2020, in order to ensure information accessibility in the field of television, radio broadcasting, electronic and information and communication technologies for broadcasters, the obligation to ensure the availability of media to people with hearing disabilities has been included. rights of persons with disabilities, "- said in a statement.

According to Roskomnadzor, the minimum amount of content adapted for hearing impaired people should be at least 5% of the total broadcasting volume of a TV channel per week. Corresponding changes have been made to the law "On Mass Media".

"This requirement applies to all categories of TV channels, regardless of the broadcasting environment, distribution area, subject (including erotic and music) and broadcasting language," emphasizes Roskomnadzor.
