OREANDA-NEWS. RIA Novosti information agency reported that the new rules for crossing the contact line in the Donbass came into force on November 28. This was announced by the press service of the state border service of Ukraine.

“Citizens of Ukraine who have not reached the age of 14 years are sent to the temporarily occupied territories according to the passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad or a birth certificate, and citizens of Ukraine aged from 14 to 16 years are sent according to the passport of a citizen of Ukraine or the passport of a citizen of Ukraine for going abroad,” the press service’s report says.

360 ​​channel adds that people who accompany children on a trip ought to have an entry permission. The Federal News Agency writes that, in accordance with the new rules, foreigners and stateless persons have to submit any identification document and have permission to cross the contact line. RT channel reports that adult citizens of Ukraine can move in the direction of the “temporarily occupied territory” after presentation of a national passport, passport for traveling abroad, as well as a temporary identification card.

Previously, to cross the line of demarcation, a person had to have the permission of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and an identity document. At the end of October 2019, the government decided to change the rules according to which children under 14 years of age should have a passport for traveling abroad. This measure was postponed until November 28 in connection with the numerous appeals of citizens.
