OREANDA-NEWS. Ukraine has signed a contract with the United States to supply a second batch of Javelin anti-tank missile systems. This was reported by the Deputy Defense Minister, Anatoly Petrenko.

According to him, in 2019 the Ministry implemented two contracts with Washington “on the program of foreign military sales” and one contract with the NATO “on support and supply.” The Deputy Minister also mentioned that now Ukrainian army has “an unmanned aerial vehicle of operational radius, which can be used in the strike version… an automated artillery control complex, as well as a radar station for counter-battery combat.”

In March 2018, the United States approved the delivery of the first batch of Javelin to Ukraine, 37 launchers and 210 missiles for a total sum of 47 million dollars. Subsequently, the State Department approved the sale of a second batch of these weapons for almost 40 million dollars.
