OREANDA-NEWS.  On November 4, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine elected Irina Vereshchuk, a deputy from the Servant of the People party, as the new Deputy Prime Minister for the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories. 260 people's deputies voted for her candidacy, the portal "Gordon" reports.

During the meeting, Vereshchuk answered the question about the time frame for the "return" of Crimea and Donbass to Kiev's control. "Not everything depends on the Ukrainian side. But we are doing everything possible to make this day come. I will not name the date, but this day and hour will come," the Deputy Prime Minister promised.

Alexey Reznikov was dismissed from this position the day before. Today, on October 4, he was appointed to the post of Minister of Defense of Ukraine instead of Andrei Taran, who left this place.

According to Vereshchuk, President Vladimir Zelensky personally offered her to take the post of prime minister. Previously, she worked as the head of the subcommittee of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
