OREANDA-NEWS. The Ukrainian Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade introduced an anti-dumping duty at a rate of 50.09% for certain types of steel products manufactured in the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Ukrainian government publication.

“According to the decision of the commission, the duty is introduced for five years on steel wires of screw, cables, ropes, uncoated or with galvanized coating with the largest cross-sectional size of more than 3 mm (except for twisted wires, cables, stainless steel ropes)”, notes edition. The reason for this was the results of an anti-dumping investigation regarding the import into Ukraine of some Russian cables and ropes, carried out after the complaint of the Stalkanat-Silur company.

According to the publication, from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2018, the Ukrainian manufacturer reduced production capacity by 10.9%, reduced sales of similar products in Ukraine by 1.9%, increased balances by 9.7% and reduced employment by 47 , 7%.
