OREANDA-NEWS. The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine has signed a contract for the delivery of 1.8 million doses of the vaccine against coronavirus produced by the Chinese company Sinovac Biotech as soon as possible. This was reported on December 30 by the press service of the Office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Fulfilling the assignment of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ministry of Healthcare signed a contract for the supply to the territory of Ukraine as soon as possible of the vaccine produced by Sinovac Biotech against the respiratory infection COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2,” the statement reads. According to the press service, the Ministry has been negotiating on the supply of the drug since September.

Sinovac Biotech is China’s largest company producing vaccines. It produces from 300 to 500 million doses of medications annually; they are approved in 34 countries around the world.
