OREANDA-NEWS. On February 11 and 12, the World Health Organization (WHO) will hold a global forum to develop a vaccine for the new coronavirus, an outbreak of which had occurred in China.

This was announced on February 6 by the Director-General of the organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. “We need to bring this virus out into the light so we can attack it properly,” he said. “There are questions we need answers to, and tools we need developed as quickly as possible. WHO is playing an important coordinating role by bringing the scientific community together to identify research priorities and accelerate progress,” Ghebreyesus added.

A day before, the WHO called on the world community to allocate 675 million US dollars to fight against coronavirus epidemic.
