OREANDA-NEWS. The World Health Organization (WHO) has corrected the line with the risk assessment of the situation with the coronavirus 2019-nCoV in a report published on the evening of January 26. This follows from a document published on the organization’s Twitter page.

In footnote number three, the document says that earlier reports on the situation with the spread of the virus, published on January 23, 24 and 25, contained an incorrect generalization about the global risk. The risk connected with new disease should be considered “high” rather than “moderate”, as it was stated in the reports for the previous three days, “as originally published,” the WHO explains.

“WHO’s assessment of the risk of this event has not changed since the last risk assessment conducted on 22 January: very high in China, high at the regional level and high at the global level,” the document resumes.
