OREANDA-NEWS. The end of the conflict in Donbass is possible after the end of the hot stage, reconciliation of people and safe reintegration. This was announced on Wednesday by President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky during the Unity Forum in Mariupol. “The international experience of armed conflicts and wars in any corner of the planet proves that three main stages must be passed on the way to ending the war”, he says. The first stage, according to the head of state, is "the completion of the hot stage and a ceasefire".

At the same time Zelensky expressed confidence that this will be achieved in the near future. The second "integral" stage, he called the reconciliation of people, the search for consensus. “The third stage is safe reintegration”, he added. The President emphasized that all these three stages the country will have to go through together - the state and society.

The parties to the conflict in Donbass on Tuesday began the withdrawal of troops in the area of the city of Zolotoye on the contact line in the Luhansk region. This happened without any preliminary announcements, unexpectedly not only for the media, but for many participants in the process itself.
