OREANDA-NEWS. The State of Maryland awarded Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) a prime contract to provide information technology (IT) solutions and services to its agencies. The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract has an 11-year period of performance and is worth approximately $2.5 billion for all awardees.

Awarded task orders will provide a diverse set of IT services and applications development solutions that include Enterprise Service Provider management, Web and Internet Services; Electronic Document Management; Geographical Information Systems; Software Engineering; Systems/Facilities Management and Maintenance; Information System Security; Application Service Provider; IT and Telecommunications Financial and Auditing Consulting Services;  IT Management Consulting Services; Business Process Consulting Services; Media and Training Center Support; and  Documentation/Technical Writing.
