OREANDA-NEWS. A new Wi-Fi MT network has been launched in the Moscow metro that protects connected passengers from possible third-party phishing attacks.  This was told by the general director of the company-operator of the Internet space in the Maximatelecom subway Boris Volpe.

“We understand the need for users to securely connect to public networks. The MT network is deployed using Hotspot 2.0 technology with protection against automatic connection to phishing points. In addition, the Hotspot 2.0 technology set includes encryption of the radio part of the network. Thus, the user is protected from traffic interception between the point  access and client device, "he said.

It is noted that now when connecting to Wi-Fi in the Moscow metro, users will see two access points: MT and MT_FREE.  However, to connect to the MT network, you will need to install a trusted profile issued by MaximTelecom on the device.  Its installation, as well as the use of the MT private network, will also be free for users.
