OREANDA-NEWS. CSC (NYSE: CSC), a global leader in next-generation IT services and solutions, today announced that it has been selected by GCS e-Sante Bourgogne to implement the eTICSS program, whose goal is to build collaboration among healthcare and social care professionals in both public and private sectors.

Initially focused on the North of the Saene et Loire area and representing a population of 350,000, eTICSS (Territoire Innovant Coordonne Sante Social, or Innovative Social Care Coordination) will enable the implementation of a patient-centered, end-to-end care ecosystem connecting health and social care. The program will enable information sharing among professionals, driving the development of coordinated and collaborative working practices. It will help hospitals operate as a single network, streamline relationships between ambulatory care and hospital clinicians, enhance care coordination and closely engage social care services after patients return home.

Aligned with the Agence Regionale de Sante (Regional Health Agency) e-Health strategy and national policy guidelines, eTICSS is one of five government-sponsored initiatives that comprise the Territoire de Soin Numerique (Digital Care Territory) program. Territoire de Soin Numerique is intended to develop cutting-edge use of next-generation digital technologies in healthcare. This program has received approximately $90 million in public funding from the Investissements d’Avenir (Investments for the Future) budget.

CSC will work with Orion Health, a global provider of clinical workflow and integration technology for the healthcare sector and various local third-party providers to deliver the program. CSC will lead the design, development and implementation of the solution, which includes Orion’s Rhapsody® Integration Engine. The solution comprises a patient information portal, care pathway workflow services, patient scheduling and technology-enabled collaboration services for healthcare professionals. It will also provide eTICSS with advanced statistics and indicators analytics, enabling healthcare providers to evaluate and improve the quality and delivery of care services.

“We have found that CSC shares the eTICSS vision and goals of a patient-oriented, e-Health system that breaks down organizational silos and enables multidisciplinary practices to improve healthcare provisioning,” said Jose Godfroy, chief executive officer of GCS e-Sante Bourgogne.

“A key part of CSC’s Agile Health strategy is developing and delivering services that enable healthcare providers to manage and enhance the health of the population they serve”, said Andrea Fiumicelli, CSC vice president and general manager for Healthcare and Life Sciences. “The eTICSS program is an exciting initiative, which has the potential to improve health outcomes across the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region, and we’re proud to be part of it.”
