OREANDA-NEWS. Western politicians act in relation to the Russian people from a position of segregation, Alexander Borodai, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, told Gazeta.Ru.

“We are not people for the West. We were for them something that Negroes were for them in the 17th-18th centuries, when people actively sold them, when they were owned as slaves. Here we are for them the same blacks of that time, only white. Will there come a time when they will kiss our shoes and apologize for everything they have done to us? Do not know. Hardly. In the short term, it is not visible,” the deputy said.

So he spoke about sanctions pressure from the West on Russia in connection with its recognition of the LPR and DPR.

“Sanctions will not be imposed at all for this decision. Sanctions have been and will continue to be imposed against Russia for being Russia. President Putin was absolutely right in his speech yesterday. Sanctions for Russia are the natural state of an independent Russian state. As soon as Russia at any time demonstrates that it is an independent country with its own will, the West immediately imposes some kind of sanctions. Nothing wrong with that. For so many centuries, it would be time to get used to the attitude of the West towards Russia, ”said the parliamentarian.

Earlier, State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova compared Ukraine's relations with the Donbass with an unhappy marriage.
