A cocaine hiding evaluated to be worth around £80 million ($113 million) has beencast up on the south cost of England.

Two bales with the drugs were found on beaches by passers near Hastings and Newhaven in East Sussex yesterday (Monday 24 May).

They were  in waterproof bags attached to life jackets, which wouldn't let them sink. 

The samples were taken from the packages  then it was confirmed that was the cocaine and there will be full legal enquiry. The full weight is approximately 960 kilos.

The police believe that the drugs were brought from South America. They are currently investigating the origin and destination of the drug shipment.

In January, a haul of cocaine just 14 kilos lighter was found hidden among bananas at the Port of Southampton.

The drugs were covered up with bananas on a commercial watercraft and have been placed inside the banana boxes. They have been left in the boxes in Colombia whereas shipment bound for Antwerp, Belgium.

Acorrding to the Officers' words they were sending a signal to smugglers in the UK and abroad who intend to smuggle drugs into or through the UK. It sounds like that : "your efforts will fail and we will use all our law enforcement to keep drugs out of the UK. 

The cocaine was found thanks to the fact the officers noticed a some strange things in the watercraftduring a  routine inspection.

Tim Kingsberry, a regional director for Border Force, said: "This significant seizure has removed a large amount of dangerous drugs from the streets, which not only reduces the significant harm they cause to communities but also makes a huge dent in the profits of smugglers".
