OREANDA-NEWS. The official Google account and YouTube channel of the Investigative Committee of Belarus were blocked. The reason was sanctions against individuals and organizations from Belarus, the official representative of the IC Yulia Goncharova told BelTA.
«The Google account has been disabled in accordance with our rules regarding export restrictions and the application of sanctions and cannot be restored», Google said.

The department's YouTube channel was also blocked. More than 23 thousand people signed up for it. It contained videos with official statements by representatives of the committee, videos on high-profile criminal cases and other materials. According to Goncharova, there were hundreds of videos on the channel, some of which had more than 1 million views. She added that the official resources of the Investigative Committee, including the website, work as usual. Other services will be used to host the video.

Earlier, the Belarusian authorities blocked a number of information sources. These included the website Regnum.ru, Deutsche Welle, Telegram channels NEXT, Next-Live and Luxta. The latter were also declared extremist, and the persons who administer these channels are listed in the country as extremist formations.
