OREANDA-NEWS. Video hosting Youtube has imposed restrictions on access to the film "Crimea. The Way to the Homeland" on the Russia 24 channel because of the scenes of violence contained in it, the press service of Google told RIA Novosti.

YouTube has restricted access to the film "Crimea. The Way to the Homeland" on the Russia 24 channel, authored by Andrei Kondrashov, First Deputy Director General of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company; he himself, in an interview with RIA Novosti, linked this with the upcoming anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia and said that YouTube did not notify him of the decision.

"The video was exposed to an age restriction in April 2020 because of the scenes of violence contained in it - an image of a shot person, victims with serious injuries and a person in a pool of blood," the press service said.

They explained that the video is available for viewing on YouTube, but there is an age restriction on it, since the above scenes with violence make it unsuitable for viewing for some users.

The blocking of access to the film "Crimea. The Way to the Homeland" on YouTube became known on March 12. The author of the film, in an interview with RIA Novosti, linked this with the upcoming anniversary of the reunification of the peninsula with Russia. He noted that he was not warned about the blocking. The film was first shown in March 2015. It includes two interviews with President Vladimir Putin, in which he spoke in detail about the "Crimean spring."
