OREANDA-NEWS Facebook is testing a new messenger for its Instagram app called Threads, The Verge writes.

According to the publication, with this messenger, users can exchange text messages, photos and videos with “closest friends” on Instagram, in addition, Threads will automatically share information about the user's location, speed and level of charge of the device.

According to the publication, Threads will be similar to the existing Instagram messenger - Direct. At the same time, the launch dates of the application are not yet clear.
