Moscow Climbed Three Positions in the International Ranking of Smart Cities

As RIA Novosti was told in the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the capital, Moscow has risen three positions in the Smart Cities Index (Smart Centers Index) of Z / Yen and took 44th place in it. Sydney, Bangkok, Melbourne, Milan became its neighbors in the rating, which assesses the approach of megalopolises to innovation and technology implementation. New York, London and Singapore are leading in the ranking.
As the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov noted, Moscow is actively introducing Smart City formats into life, integrating Internet technologies into the life of the city. The capital is developing a system of "smart transport", accessible Internet, more than 370 city online services and services operate. The smart city system helps all city resources to function as efficiently as possible, which improves the quality of life of Muscovites. As the head of the Department of Information Technologies Eduard Lysenko noted, digitalization is one of the main factors in the development of megacities around the world.
