OREANDA-NEWS. German media regulator withdrew from broadcasting in Europe TV channel RT DE. This was reported on Wednesday in the RT Telegram channel.

"Today, the German media regulator MABB made the European satellite operator Eutelsat 9B to take away from its platform our new German-language TV channel RT DE, which is broadcasting from studios in Moscow," the statement said.

The press service of the channel stressed that they consider the actions of the German regulator illegal, and expressed confidence that this decision will be reviewed in court.

Earlier it was reported that the media regulator in Germany began an investigation into the Russian network RT on suspicion of violating broadcasting rules in Germany. As the agency DPA writes, following the results, a decision may be made to ban broadcasting or even a fine of up to half a million euros may be imposed. Program organizers can appeal the decision.

On December 16, RT informed that online video hosting YouTube had banned the account of its new German-language TV channel RT Deutsch. This blocking took place on the day of its launch. In turn, on Friday, Roskomnadzor stated that Google remove limitations on the RT Deutsch channel on YouTube.
