OREANDA-NEWSThe winners of the competition in the framework of the CIS cooperation program were three research projects - on the development of the infrastructure of supercomputer centers, on the creation of a test system for the diagnosis of hepatitis E, as well as on the development of an emergency forecasting system. Each study will receive a grant of 30 million rubles, the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation said on Thursday.

"The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation summed up the results of the open competition" Conducting research within the framework of the Interstate Program of Innovative Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the period up to 2020 in selected priority areas".

It is noted that the winners - research groups consisting of Russian scientists and their colleagues from the CIS countries - will receive 30 million rubles for 2019-2020 (15 million rubles a year) for their research. So, the project initiated by the Scientific Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums named after I.I. Mechnikov on the creation and testing of test systems for serological diagnosis of hepatitis E, that is, based on the study of certain antibodies in the blood serum of patients by the immune response.

The project will also receive funding for research and development of solutions for creating the services of the Multipurpose Aerospace Forecast Monitoring System of natural and man-made emergencies in Russia and the CIS.

The competition was announced on February 22, 2019, applications for it were accepted until March 25, then the examination of projects took place. According to the goals of the national project "Science", in 2024, Russia should enter the top five leading countries engaged in research and development in areas determined by the priorities of scientific and technological development.
