OREANDA-NEWS. From February 15, Ukrainian state television will begin broadcasting on the territories of Donbass not controlled by state authorities, the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of Ukraine, it is assumed that information broadcasting department of the channel will be headed by the former chief editor of Channel 24, Yelena Tribushnaya.

“The goal of the new TV channel is to return to our Ukrainian information and cultural space those of our fellow citizens who, due to the war, have been deprived of the opportunity to watch Ukrainian television for more than five years, receive objective information about their country, people whose attitude to Ukraine is mainly influenced by Russian television channels,” Tribushnaya said.

At the first stage, the channel will broadcast entertainment programs, series and films in Ukrainian and Russian, as well as information programs.
