OREANDA-NEWS. The Ukrainian TV channel Dom, broadcasting to the territories of Donbass and Crimea not controlled by Ukraine, received a warning for showing a map of Russia with Crimea, the press service of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting reported.

The report says that the channel violated Ukrainian law by showing a map on which Crimea and the city of Sevastopol are designated as part of the territory of the Russian Federation. The TV companies announced a warning under the article on “dissemination of biased information” and were obliged to “bring their activities in line with the requirements of the legislation” of Ukraine.

The incident took place in July. Then on the air of the TV channel at the beginning and at the end of the program "Russian Diary" a map of Russia with Crimea was shown.

The TV channel apologized for this incident. Its management, having carried out an internal audit, qualified the employees' act as negligence and dismissed the entire project team.

Earlier, the British TV channel BBC in the story about the fall of the An-26 plane in the Kharkiv region showed the crash site on the map of Ukraine, on which Crimea was designated as Russian territory. This material was removed from the site of the British media, and in all other materials dedicated to the incident, the map of Ukraine was not shown.
