OREANDA-NEWS. Kaspersky Lab has connected its VPN service to the registry of information prohibited in the Russian Federation to filter the access of its users to the resources it contains, the press service of Roskomnadzor told Interfax.

"We confirm that Kaspersky Secure Connection has connected to FGIS (the Federal State Information System containing the register of sites prohibited in the Russian Federation - IF)," the agency said in response to an Interfax question.

At the end of March, Roskomnadzor ordered ten VPN services to connect to the state information system to block banned sites.  All companies except Kaspersky Lab have refused to do this.  Now they themselves can get into the registry of prohibited information.

One of the users of the system noted that when trying to go to the site listed in the register of banned in Russia, the service gives an error report. At the same time, the platform, in the dialog box, notes that these actions are supported by the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
