OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian news aggregator SMI2 decided to block all messages about Ukraine and its President Vladimir Zelensky in response to the blocking of its services in this country.

Earlier, Zelensky, by his decree, put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities. In total, the restrictions affected 82 companies. Sanctions include, inter alia, blocking their assets, stopping trading operations, preventing the withdrawal of capital from Ukraine, suspending the fulfillment of economic and financial obligations, revoking licenses and other permits, as well as a ban on public and defense purchases of goods, works and services. It includes, in particular, Russian media and the news aggregator SMI2.

“We only realized this morning that we were being blocked in Ukraine. And we made a decision inside ourselves that we would, in response, accordingly, block all messages in our news aggregator about Ukraine, about President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. We are offended, if it is possible to say like this, "Olga Artseva, director of the joint partner department of SMI2 and MirTesen, told RIA Novosti.

According to her, such retaliatory sanctions will be applied to all relevant messages appearing in both Russian and Ukrainian information fields.
