OREANDA-NEWS  On 29 May, Han Yongjin, director of the National Library of China (NLC), met with Roman Stepanovich Motulsky, director of the National Library of Belarus (NLB), and received donated books of the NLB. Both sides signed cooperation agreement. Sun Yigang, deputy director of the NLC, also attended the activity.

Han Yongjin said he was honored to receive the donated photocopies of Francysk Skaryna's books, who was Belarusian founder of the printing and humanist. The NLC paid great attention to the exchanges and cooperation with the NLB. The two libraries signed The Cooperation Agreement between the National Library of China and the National Library of Belarus, which represented that both sides had reached a consensus on cultural project support, book publishing, digital library cooperation, and so on.

Roman Stepanovich Motulsky said, with the guidance of the cooperation agreement, he hoped both libraries would increase staff visits and business exchanges, explore new opportunities for cooperation, maintain friendly cooperation relation, and make unremitting efforts for the mutual development of librarianship in both countries.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the National Museum of Classic Books and the NLC North Area.
