OREANDA-NEWS Polish studio Atomic Wolf in the spring announced the platforming Liberated, reminiscent of a revived comic book. And now the developers have released a trailer for the gameplay, where they showed fragments of a gloomy adventure. The story of Liberated is told on behalf of four different characters in four chapters. Stylistically, the game is made as if we were really turning over the pages of a noir comic.

According to the mechanics of Liberated, there is a 2.5D platformer with QTE elements, in which players move between comic book frames and participate in dialogs. The developers promise that each of our decisions will have consequences and will be able to change the course of events.

The game takes place in technological dystopia, where every step of the citizens is monitored by the authorities, manipulating their views and aspirations. A group of people is trying in every way to resist public order. The creators of Liberated believe that the foundation they created can in the future contribute to the emergence of new similar projects combining comics and games. In the meantime, the release date for Liberated is still unknown. They plan to release the game before the end of the year on PC, and then on other platforms.
