OREANDA-NEWS British dancer Akram Khan will perform his latest big Xenos solo in Moscow. The performance will be held on July 25 and 26 on the stage of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theater as part of the Territory festival. 

The dancer said that now in Russia began to pay more attention to modern dance. According to him, in order for this direction to shine again, he needs new voices from Russia, India and China. 

Xenos is a solo performance by Akram Khan, dedicated to the history of colonial soldiers in the First World War based on archival materials of the 20th century. The premiere took place in February 2018. Performances in Moscow will be Khan’s last appearance on stage as a dancer.
