OREANDA-NEWS. The Ministry of Culture will transfer the National Center for Contemporary Art (NCCA) to the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts until the end of this year, head of department Vladimir Medinsky said on Tuesday, July 2.

 Appeals on the transfer of the NCCA were received not only from the heads of the center’s branches, but also from the Tretyakov Gallery, the Hermitage and the Garage Museum, clarified in the department.  “This idea turned out to be just flying in the air.  We are about to transfer.  Until the end of this year, we will resolve all issues, ”said Medinsky.

 The minister called the decision symbolic and correct for the development of culture and regions, and also promised to solve all organizational issues by the end of the year.

 Currently, the NCCA in the ROSIZO is a network organization whose branches are open in nine cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Vladikavkaz, Tomsk, Samara, Saratov.

 Among the closest projects by the NCCA in St. Petersburg is the exhibition of Sergei Katran’s installation “Until the Word Disappears”, which will take place in Annenkirche from July 4 to August 25, and “Ahead”, an international festival of contemporary art that will take place on July 13-14 at Fort “Konstantin”.
