OREANDA-NEWS. Former Australian rock band AC/DC bassist Paul Matters has died. This was announced on Facebook by his friend Rod Wescombe.

According to Wescombe, Matters died due еo health problems related to his "rock and roll lifestyle". In recent years, Paul Matters, a friend wrote, has led a reclusive life.

Paul Matters played in AC/DC for a few weeks in 1975. He joined the band after the band released the album High Voltage, replacing bass guitarist Larry van Cridt.

After leaving AC/DC, Paul Matters ended his music career and gave only one interview. It was released in 2017 in the biography of the band's late frontman Bon Scott. Matters said that Scott fired him on the way to another concert.
